Since 1993, the Gilroy Assistance League has distributed over $437,000 to benefit local children and youth.
2026 Grant Recipients
In 2026, the Gilroy Assistance League distributed $47,000 in grant funds to the following groups. We sincerely thank all who so generously support our organization.
Gilroy FFA: $3000 to be used for annual jGilroy FFA Community Farm Day
South Valley Middle School PE Department: $4200 to be used for physical education equipment
Glen View School: $1800 to be used for a sharing library for all grade levels
Operation Freedom Paws: $4800 to be used for Therapy Dog Support Program for 200 children
Las Animas Home and School Club: $5000 to be used for diverse children’s literature for classroom libraries
Eliot Elementary School Second Grade Teachers Team: $2000 to be used for multi-sensory materials to build reading skills
One Heart to Another: $750 to be used for Hygiene Bag Project for foster and homeless youth
Jacob’s Heart Children's Cancer Support Services: $5000 to be used for monthly community outing transportation for teens
Community Solutions: $2500 to be used for 100 Back -to-school backpacks
Las Animas Elementary School: $2000 to be used for classroom materials for a first year Transitional Kindergarten program
Gilroy High School Student Services: $2000 to be used for materials to sustain and grow student-centered wellness initiatives
Family Giving Tree: $5000 to be used for 160 fully stocked grade-level appropriate backpacks
Solorsano and Brownell Middle Schools: $4995 to be used for Social Language Program for autistic, emotionally disturbed, and Special Day Class students
Gilroy Little League Challenger Division: $500 to be used for helmets for players with disabilities
One Giving Tree: $3455 to be used for live Christmas trees for families experiencing financial hardship
